- Flossing should not be an aggressive, do not use a sawing action; instead, you should be gentle as you guide the floss up and down between your teeth, using a c-shaped curve with your dental floss.
- Floss twice daily, but be careful not to dig the floss into your gums.
- Ask your dentist whether you should use a water flosser or another type of dental water pick that can help you to clean between your teeth and help keep your gums healthy.
Practice Good Home Oral Care With an ADA (American Dental Association)-Approved Mouthwash
A great way to finish your daily dental care regime is to use an ADA-approved antibacterial mouthwash. It is important to note that not all mouthwashes are created equally.
