What Is The Orthophos S 3D Digital 360 Degree Scanner?
The Orthophos S is a 3 dimensional scanner that can create a 3 dimensional film of the teeth and the supporting bone. This allows the dentist to diagnose bone and teeth pathology. It also allows the dentist to determine how much bone is present in any particular area of the jaw and if it is adequate enough to place a dental implant. The Orthophos S also boasts implant treatment planning software, allowing the dentist to place the dental implant in the most ideal position. Additionally, the Orthophos S since it is made by the same manufacturer as the Cerec is able to communicate with the Cerec software so that the dentist may virtually fabricate the final implant crown restoration at the same time the implant is being placed. The Orthophos S also has planning software for implant surgical stents, which can then be fabricated in the Cerec milling machine. These are just some of the amazing features and applications used in everyday dentistry.
